Chris Steer is originally from Auburn, New York, is a graduate of Cazenovia College. After graduation, she went on to manage some of the largest hunter-jumper show barns in New York and Connecticut and is proud to have won an AQHA high point in the nation. At The Homestead, Chris manages all the horses like they’re her own.

Jeff Steer, a native of New Hampshire, is also a graduate of Cazenovia College. Upon graduating, he went on to ride with trainers from Texas to New York. At The Homestead, Jeff works with riders from age 8 to 80 and their horses to prepare them for local and 4-H level events up to national shows—i.e. AQHA, NSBA. He trains horses for western pleasure, hunter under saddle, horsemanship equitation, and trail events and has received multiple top-ten placing at the Congress and World competitions. His clients have also placed in the top ten at Congress and AQHA World competitions.
